iUniversity Prep students can earn points to receive an iU Prep PTSA Senior Honor Cord to, upon graduation, celebrate their commitment to their campus, advocacy, and involvement! Points will be accumulated throughout their time at iU Prep and must be submitted for tracking by May 31 each year for 5th-11th graders. For 12th graders, points must be submitted (after meeting the qualifications below) by March 31 of their senior year.  

Cords will be distributed at graduation along with any others earned while at iUniversity Prep.  The PTSA will provide the cords at no additional cost to the graduate, and notifications will be sent to the student on or before May 1.

Qualifications (must be met by March 31 of senior year):

• Active membership in iUniversity Prep PTSA during senior year
• Earned a minimum of points (see chart below) during their time at iU Prep 
• Submitted points through the PTSA website on time 

Graduating Class due dates and exceptions

• The Class of 2026 has 1 year to accumulate points and needs 20 points to earn an honor cord
• The Class of 2027 has 2 years to accumulate points and needs 40 points to earn an honor cord
• The Class of 2028 has 3 years to accumulate points and needs 60 points to earn an honor cord
• The Class of 2029 has 4 years to accumulate points and needs 80 points to earn an honor cord
• The Class of 2030 and beyond have 5+ years to accumulate points and needs 100 points to earn an honor cord

Points

• 5 points/year of PTSA membership (max. 1 entry/year for 8 years; easiest points!)
• 5 points/year of Reflections participation (max. 1 entry/year for 8 years regardless of number of entries submitted for the program)
• 2 points for attending any of the following iU Prep events or similar (must sign in; no max.):
• Meet-the-Teacher
• Back-to-School Bash
• Homecoming
• Winterfest
• Prom
• End-of-Year Party
• Owl Expo
• PTSA general meetings
• Local meet-ups
• 5 points for coordinating or volunteering at any of the following iU Prep events or similar (must sign in; no max.):
• Meet-the-Teacher
• Back-to-School Bash
• Homecoming
• Winterfest
• Prom
• End-of-Year Party
• Owl Expo
• PTSA general meetings
• Local meet-ups
• 5 points/event for serving as an Owl Ambassador
• 1 point for every sponsored iU Prep club/organization of which you are a member (max. 10 points/year)
• 5 points for every sponsored iU Prep club/organization of which you are an officer (max. 20 points/year)
• 10 points/year for serving on the iU Prep PTSA Board
• 1 point for every service hour completed independently (max. 10 points/year)
